Vayura was born from a simple question: why should the air inside your home be worse than the air outside? We spent two years building the answer — air our families could actually breathe.
Vayura started with an honest reading: even with three purifiers running, indoor air was still failing. Cleaner air shouldn’t be something only hospitals deserve.
2024 · Winter
Pollution season meant the windows stayed shut for months. Three purifiers running in the bedroom and the room still felt heavy by midnight — the kind of stuffiness that turns into a dull headache by morning. The PM2.5 readout said 142 with every purifier on max.
2025 · Spring
A borrowed CO₂ meter explained the rest. 1,420 ppm in the master bedroom by 2am — well past the threshold where focus and sleep quality both fall off. The purifiers were doing what they were built to do: cleaning the same air, over and over.
2025 · Summer
We opened up every purifier we could get our hands on. They all shared the same design choice: a closed loop. They scrub particles, but they have no way to handle the CO₂, VOCs, and humidity people exhale all night. The air just gets staler, no matter how many filters you stack.
2025 · Autumn
The fix was already standard in operating theatres, semiconductor fabs, and biosafety labs: positive pressurisation. Pull outdoor air in through a synthetic micropore filter, push it gently into every room, and let the stale air leave through the gaps it was always going to find anyway.
2026 · Spring
Vayura shipped to its first ten homes — friends and family across Delhi NCR. CO₂ dropped under 700 ppm, PM2.5 held below 30, and within two weeks every household had quietly retired its old purifiers.
2026 · Summer
We’re opening up bookings to Delhi NCR more broadly. Every install still starts with the same free home visit and AQI walk-through that the first ten got.
“Delhi taught a generation to be afraid of outside air. We wanted to give that back.”
We explain the tradeoffs in plain terms. We’ll tell you when a consumer purifier is enough — and when it isn’t.
Every unit we ship goes into a home we could be standing in. That’s how we test, that’s how we decide, that’s how we price.
Clean air isn’t just the absence of particles. It’s outdoor air, pulled in through the best filter we can source, and pressurised into every room.
The people who run Vayura.
